A simple, concise and well-written introduction to project management. If you want to understand the basics of project management, this book is an excellent choice. It does not cover advanced topics such as earned value management, but that material is not required in an introductory text.
I have used this book as the textbook in a graduate-level introductory project management course, and it has been very well regarded by both the students.

it's ok, but too thin

I bought it without checking the number of pages. You cannot "Scale Your Project Management Efforts" in 170 pages printed with large fonts. David Pratt had a good idea, but in the way to put it on paper he lost his breath. This book doesn't make its money, but you'll find some good ideas between the lines.
